FAQ

Where will the session take place?

All sessions are held in my studio in Tilehurst RG316RA (garden studio). There is plenty of space for parking and a gated entrance to the studio. There are basic facilities provided, but please feel free to bring your own refreshments and snacks. There is also a fridge if your baby's milk needs to be kept cool.

Is my baby in safe hands?

Absolutely! I have completed the top training courses run by Newborn Posing Limited who are the best in the game.

Are the props cleaned between sessions?

All props are sanitised between clients and any accessories or clothing touched/used will be washed at the end of each session.

What should I bring with me?

All I ask is for you to bring some extra milk if the baby is bottle-fed, extra nappies and a dummy if you use one. If you would like your baby to be clothed in a specific outfit for the session, please discuss with me ahead of time so I can figure out if and how best to include this in the shoot.

can I choose the colours and styling?

Before the session I will send you a form along with a preparation guide and this will be a chance for us to discuss colours, styles and images preferences. The baby's safety is my main priority so I only shoot the the styling and workflow I have created, so if you have any preferences please make sure to discuss them with me in advance of the shoot.

HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?

Newborn photo sessions usually take anywhere between 2 and 4 hours, this allows time for feeding cuddles, changing nappies and soothing back to sleep. I only book one session per day so there is no rush or stress to feed and settle your little one as and when needed. However, please do not plan anything else for that day as if the baby is very unsettled we may need some extra time.

is your studio covid safe?

Yes, my studio only sees a low volume of visitors and operates on an appointment only policy. Due to the hours I work there is also at least 24-48 hours between appointments which allows me to wash and wipe things down between sessions. I also do not allow shoes or pets to come into the studio.

How should I prepare for my session?

Once your appointment has been booked, I will send you a document with some more information about how the session will run, with guidance and tips to help you prepare.

Can I bring other people with me?

In order to keep your baby comfortable the studio operated in warm conditions, the sessions and long and boring if not taking part. My main focus is keeping your baby safe and comfortable and for that reason I ask for only those being photographed to enter the studio.
